Prologue : F(R)iend - How a Fiend meet a Friend...

A little original story that I've created to participate in a manga contest in 2005 (but I only got the consolation prize). The max pages for this contest is 8 pages, and I having hard time to fit a story that I have come up for some time, and shrink it into 8 pages. There is another things about this contest, the way to read this manga must be from left to right. Which cause some trouble to me since I have get used to reading manga from right to left, the same apply to drawing too. And the speech bubbles were wrote on another pieces of paper. We were allowed to use tone papers to create effect, but those tone papers doesn't sold at my area and is also very expensive. So i have to go the all the way of "Black and White" style.

Okay, I am weak at Background, story writing, and even writing storyboard , I admitted - I need more exercise and training on my manga skill as well as my whole way of planning a story. 8 pages is indeed very hard for me to come up a good short story, but when looking back again this story... this is perhaps the only short story I dare to complete it.... Alot of mistakes in the drawing, so bear with me..sorry, sorry.... Worst, I forgot where I put my script notebook that have all the scripts I've written for this story.

I know this story look very 'yuri' too

P.S : After the contest over, I draw a little scene of Angelina and Angel meet together on the night before Christmas, and they think back to this 'prologue' story of how they meet and get together. (But actually is Margaret thinking back, not Angelina and Angel.)

"What will happens when you give a "Fiend" a "Friend" ?"

A little tales of a mischief girl, Angelina, from a noble family of the Count in England. Create havoc to the school and given the nick "Fiend" for her uncontrollable attitude and weirds taste in wearing black, some scary accesories and have a bat as a pet. Her personal maid, Margaret, also having problem keeping her Miss under control. But Margaret know Angelina doing this just to get attention, because she hate to been alone.

Until one day, on the way back to home from school. They saw a flower girl on the down town street, who have the same assemble look of Angelina. Her name is Angel, and this is the story how Angelina (fiend) meet Angel (friend) ....

page 4 - Angelina's mother was surprised to see her beloved daughter sent her a gift.

Therefore, from that day onward. Angelina will sent Margaret to buy flowers from Angel everydays, while Angelina hide behind while watching Margaret got carried away and having funs talking with Angel.

(Angel say "Good evening, big sister. I have the flowers prepare for you today too." )
(And Margaret blushes while saying "Ah~! She call me "Big sister", it feel just like My Lady is calling me..." )
(" That fool....", Angelina said.)

Next day - morning

Margaret read out the details about Angel after weeks of research on her.

"Parent die at young age of 4, now she is staying with her alcoholic uncle, Angel might have smile everyday, but in reality - she been treated badly by her uncle..."

Angelina just listen there....
